Boy does that quote resonate with me and frankly many people I know. Years ago Gary Larson had a cartoon about a brain stapling technique for compulsive thinkers. The laughter just exploded from me when I first saw it because of the ridiculous notion and poignant commentary it made . So many of us just think, think, and think getting stuck in a ruminating cycle. But we can control our thoughts. Mindfulness, meditation, prayer are always of making a deliberate break in your thoughts. You can step back, observe, assess and the make a decision about where to focus your attention.
